I can't really see how anyone could stand being in a long-distance relationship. I've been in one, and it made me lonelier than I'd ever been. Granted, the feeling of caring about someone that much, and being cared about in return, helps a little, but... people like me, who crave physical contact, may not find this a good-enough consolation.
I'm not sure why I decided to go on a ramble like this.
Eh. We'll leave it at that.
On another note, I need a scanner of my own, so I don't have to wait until I go to Dad's to scan things. Mom's scanner is one of those that's built into the printer that doubles as a fax machine, and I don't want to tear pages out of my sketchbook. =\ ...even though I will end up doing so on one particular sketch as I plan on sending it to the person it was drawn for.
ON ANOTHER another note:
What is it that causes humans to laugh? Why does simple irony spark such an odd spasm of the human body? Granted, the same thing may not make everyone laugh, of course. Humor itself is such a strange concept... One may also wonder what causes love, as opposed to lust, which is an instinctual response when seeing a potential mate which which to reproduce? Love without lust seems to go against all rules of nature... and yet it exists on such a level that some even forsake nature entirely and seek companions of the same gender.
Humans are such interesting creatures.
